This guide shows the most common embroidery logo sizes used on polos, jackets, caps, bags, aprons, and workwear. These are our standard recommendations for clean, readable, professional embroidery.

Important: final embroidery size may vary depending on garment size, logo shape, stitch density, seam placement, cap structure, pocket location, and fabric type. Small text and fine details may need to be enlarged, simplified, or adjusted for embroidery quality.

Recommended Standard Sizes

These dimensions are the most common starting points for production. Actual stitch-ready size may be adjusted based on artwork detail, logo ratio, and garment construction.

Why standard sizing matters

Good embroidery is not just about making a logo fit. It is about readability, stitch balance, clean detail, and proper scale for the garment. A logo that is too small may lose detail. A logo that is too large may feel heavy, distort the fabric, or look unbalanced. Our standard sizing helps keep embroidery clean, durable, and professional.

  • Corporate left chest: 3.5" wide is our default standard.
  • Cap front: always check height first, not just width.
  • Small text: may require simplification before digitizing.
  • Detailed logos: sometimes need a larger size to embroider cleanly.
  • Pocket and sleeve placements: should always be tested against garment construction.
